Mercedes-Benz HKS CLK JGTC500 2002
No, it’s not derived from DTM-spec, but this is an in-house project, so much unique, it’s a complete GT500 - a mix of silhouette and proper grand touring parts.
The engine is an M119 V8 NA 6.0, deriving from the iconic CLK-LM. Tuned (of course) by HKS and with 500ps of output.
This is a great race car, one of rarest of all time, but unfortunately it raced only two races in 2002 JGTC and had a poor result - and probably this is one of reasons why HKS never returned for JGTC... the money and maybe the manufacturer's technical support speaks louder.
