- Les 1000 Rallye étaient le modèle qui avait le plus d'engagement en compétition (slalom, course de côte, rallye). Cette voiture comptait près de 400 engagements en course4 et ce quarante ans après la sortie du premier modèle. La Simca 1000 léguera l'appellation « Rallye » qui sera reprise par Peugeot sur les Talbot Samba, Peugeot 205 (présentant les mêmes caractéristiques mécaniques, à savoir une cylindrée identique de 1 294 cm3, et une puissance égale de 103 ch avec une mécanique totalement différente) et Peugeot 106.
