In 1966 the 210G "Radiale" engine was available but wasn't homologated for FIA Gr. 2.
The "Radiale" engine head consisted in an hemispherical combustion chamber that improved the fuel mix and combustion efficiency; this allowed to overcome the 100 hp/liter.
To help control the huge power, it became possible to modify rear fenders to allow the installation of wider Dunlop R7 tires.
To cool the even further improved engine, a more efficient radiator was adopted on front bumper.
It was possible to substitute le transverse leaf spring with the "Pendolino" system that made the front a fully independent suspension.
The advantage is that the front became stiffer and allowed for better braking while the drawback was that the absence of the leaf spring meant the absence of its anti-roll bar effect too. This means that on fast turns the car need more corrections.
